Monthly Mediator Continuing Education
OvalOptions provides relevant monthly continuing education (CE) training on the first Thursday of the month to help mediators transform their mediation practices to the next level.
There is a $25 ($15 for CCC volunteers) fee for each monthly hour-and-a-half CE. Some CEs may be eligible for CLE credit.

DISSOLUTION OF MARRIAGE/CIVIL UNION MEDIATION TRAINING
OvalOptions offers training to increase the competency of professional mediators practicing facilitative mediation as it relates to dissolution of marriage(divorce)/civil union. Information taught includes, but is not limited to, useful resources, background, and considerations for the mediation of division of property and maintenance (spousal support or alimony/palimony) disputes.

PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND CHILD SUPPORT MEDIATION TRAINING
Frequently, parents ask mediators to facilitate their disputes concerning their children. This is a specialized area with many potential pitfalls. OvalOptions offers online training designed for mediators who facilitate issues related to parental responsibilities and child support. Feedback that we have received from mediators is that the value of this training far exceeds its cost.

Landlord-Tenant Mediation Training
The need for and benefits of mediation for landlord-tenant disputes are many. Participants can identify and evaluate creative solutions that can satisfy the needs and interests of the unique circumstances of the parties. OvalOptions’ landlord-tenant mediation training is intended to increase the competency of professional mediators as it relates to residential disputes. Information taught includes standard lease principles, joint, and several liability, lease termination, lease violations/noncompliance, eviction/Forcible Entry and Detainer (FED), deposits/monetary damages, benefits to the parties of mediation, and more. Mediators may not give legal advice.
This two-hour online Landlord-Tenant Mediation Training costs $100 ($75 for CCC volunteers).

New Volunteer Mediator Orientation
OvalOptions’ new volunteer mediator orientation is required for all new Colorado Conflict Clinic (CCC) volunteers. It provides valuable information about CCC practices and procedures, the roles of lead and co-mediators, the case management system, and other helpful information.
There is no cost for this two-hour online New Volunteer Mediator Orientation.

Zoom Mediation Training
Zoom Mediation Training by OvalOptions was designed to ensure mediators have the necessary information as well as skills and practical experience to be effective and confident as online mediators.
